Pancake - Beginner Level
Want to learn Pancake or Middle Splits but it seems intimidating?
Fear not, Pancake (Beginner Level) is applicable to any level as there are various modifications to choose from. You will feel challenged while the intensity is manageable.
In the Beginner level, you will be exposed to Passive Flexibility to expand the range of motion in your hip joints & spine. Contract-Relax approach (also known as Active-assisted stretch) will be taught to introduce active stretching to your muscles & stimulations to gorge tendon organs.
Towards the later part of the class, we will approach Active stretch since we have already gain a stronger & wider foundation built by passive flexibility. You will gain strength to maintain integrity and stability of the joint, making the stretch more controlled and significantly lowers the risk of overstretching injuries.

What is Contract-relax approach?
It stimulates gorge tendon organs which results in the relaxation of the muscle, resulting in deeper stretch.
Will I feel lost in this class?
With Coach Jasmine's clear cues, you will understand the objective and rationale of every exercise. With that in mind, it would be easy to apply these exercises in your daily routine or as pre-activation or post-recovery from sports/activities.
Will the class be too intense for me?
Coach Jasmine provides various modifications to most exercises.
